If you've looking for a treat, I'm sharing one of my favorite mind maddening recipes. They are delicious served as an appetizer or as a main dish on Halloween night!
Sweet and Spicy Spider Egg Meatballs!
Okay, not really spider eggs, but this is Halloween and we need scary food for the party!  I make these year round, but my first try was for a Halloween party I was hosting and they were a hit!  We liked them so much that I turned this appetizer into a main dish.

1 pkg. meatballs, frozen
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup grape jelly
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup hickory smoked barbecue sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of flour (add to sauce to thicken if desired)

  • Combine salsa, grape jelly, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, vinegar and flour.  Whisk well. Place meatballs in slow cooker
  • Pour mixture over top
  • Cook on low for 2-3 hours - keep on warm

  8. Oh that recipe sounds delish. A definite snack for Halloween night. I always make something in the crockpot that day. What a fantastic give away too. My son just gave me John Dies at the End so if I win I would have to let you choose from the other two. Love books and the stranger the better. Happy Halloween!
